Inspired from the knowledge, wisdom, and love of those who came before us, I am enchanted with old photographs, and blending the old with the new, either digitally, or physically, or both.

One of my area's of focus in my work; using historic, or family photographs with my photography backgrounds. I also like to superimpose real objects and then photograph the "photo's" again to create an assemblaged look. I call this remembrance art. All of the background photographs are mine, and then the people are either purchased from antique stores, or used with permission of the family. Some are my own ancestors.

There is something classic about catching a colorful world, and simplifying it to the bare minimum. It's the opposite of my assemblage work, which tends to get very involved. I will never grow tired of black and white photography.
Sometimes you just step on army men one too many times.
I dabbled in ceramics for a good part of my career. I love the idea of shaping a lump of clay from the earth into something not only functional, but also beautiful.
A lot of times, I will do a series, like doors and windows, and then I'll paint the photography I took in oils, then hang them together in one show.
Doesn't everyone love wax?
